We’re (still) all hard at work at SKG Towers. The Players Book is largely finished, at least in terms of writing, but we are still finishing off some playtesting before finalising the text. The art and layout process will, inevitably, take longer still, probably pushing us back to a 2012 release.
We have a couple of adventures currently being worked on too, so do look out for at least three releases from us next year.
In the meantime, as a sneak preview of the Players Book, here’s the current, near-final version of the Hunter Profession. Feel free to use it in your campaigns right now, and email us your thoughts: info@serpentking.com
Excellent!!!
Awesome! Based on this preview the PB is sure to be a blast. 🙂
Looks great. I love me adventures too!
Very nice!
Loving this Hunter thing, with the traps and all, it certainly brings something unique to the game.
With this and the other 2 new classes, is the book going to included updated tables for random adventurer encounters, adventurer magic items, backgrounds, etc?
That’s something that is too often forgotten when new materials is brought into a game.
Hi Pierre-Eric,
I’m one of the people working on the Player’s Book and I can tell you that we have already considered the need to update the background tables and magic items tables for the new professions and the old professions where it hasn’t already been done. I don’t think we’d considered the random encounters table but I will make sure that does get mentioned.
Hi Shaun
Awesome news!
It’s not all necessary but it’s all useful. 🙂
As far as races are concerned, the standard “dwarves don’t use magic” and “elves are too fancy to be barbarians” is a good enough guideline for sure.
I can already see deadly Elf Hunters… And even Dwarf hunters with crossbows with just a little tweaking to make it more mountain-friendly than forest-friendly.
Great stuff! Thanky you for this playable preview!
Fantastic! Can’t wait for the finished product 🙂
Excellent work guys!
Really like the Hunter, which covers off many unanswered questions – including the Archer Question.
I can’t wait till the the new Priest Profeesion is unveilled. My hopes and prayers and hangin on this unique opportunuity to bring an extra dimension to the game.
